Old Gazzette Film Society

The Old Gazette Film Society (OGFS) is a sub-committee of the Dorrigo Dramatic Club Inc and screens films once a month at the community owned and run Old Gazette Theatre, Hickory Street Dorrigo. The OGFS has been screening films since 2016, offering a diverse selection of films for our community’s entertainment. We offer refreshments prior to the screenings where film lovers can catch up over a coffee, tea, wine and nibblies. The Bigger Picture

The Bigger Picture shows classic movies once a month at Newport Bowling Club on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The Bigger Picture is the initiative of three local residents.Micheal Peschardt, former Sydney correspondent for the BBC, Mike Bullen, BAFTA-winning creator of the acclaime UK TV Series Cold Feet and Peter Skillman CEO of Sydney based Cinemalive

Films will be put in context before they are screened with a brief and entertaining talk.

Dubbo Film Society

The Dubbo Film Society is located in Dubbo NSW and is the only film appreciation community group in the city. It has been operating since 1989. We bring quality films to film goers looking for a cinematic experience beyond the mainstream line of commercial box office films.

Newcastle German Kino Society (NGKS)

 “The Royal Exchange Theatre”, Newcastle, 4th Monday each month (Feb-Nov)

All NGKS screenings are held at The Royal Exchange Theatre 32-34 Bolton St Newcastle. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 pm film start. For membership/entry details & up-to date program please seehttp://royalexchangenewcastle.com.au/deutscher-filmklub-stammtisch/.

If no classifications are outlined films are restricted to persons of 18+ years. This may not relate to the film contents but is but due to legal requirements set by the Classification Board.

Taree Film Society

The Taree Film Society is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers to bring diversity of film to the Manning and to encourage appreciation and discussion of film in a regular social atmosphere.
The Society started in 1995 and has been going for 24 years, making it one of the oldest film societies in Australia.
Our subscription season runs from July to June. There are 18 screenings a year plus coffee cakes and chatting for $120 !

Classic Films screened on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month before 7.45pm.

Complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits served after the screening.

The Other Film Society

We are very excited to bring you our season of independent, arthouse, foreign and classic films from around the globe right here to Newcastle. We will be screening a film every Wednesday night at The Royal Exchange Theatre, 32-34 Bolton Street, Newcastle at 7.30pm for an 8:00pm start from May through to October 31 2012, we feel it’s a great way to spend your Wednesday night doing something a little different.
